Plot of Cinderella 3:
The events of this third installment in the Cinderella story take place one year after the events of the first movie
Lady Tremaine, Cinderella's wicked stepmother, one day finds her daughter Anastasia in the garden holding a thin stick. Originally, Lady Tremaine thinks Anastasia is only holding a stick, but Anastasia insists it is the Fairy Godmother's wand. Anastasia, trying to prove the wand is magic, finds the Fairy godmother following her, insisting that she give the wand back before its powers get into the wrong hands. Anastasia is unwilling, and in her stubborn determination to keep the wand, her tussle with the godmother results in an accidental outburst of magic, turning the godmother into a stone statue. Anastasia is deeply regretful for what has happened, but then Tremaine takes the Fairy Godmother's magic wand and reverses time, changing everything back to the way it was before - Cinderella still lives with Lady Tremaine. It is right when the duke has come with the slipper, and the mice have almost got Cinderella out of her attic room. Lady Tremaine rushes the process along, and then uses the wand to make the slipper fit her daughter Anastasia's foot before Cinderella can make it downstairs. The duke then announces she will wed the prince, and leaves. Lady Tremaine breaks Cinderella's other slipper as she comes down the stairs, and tells her to forget the dance ever happened.
However, Cinderella is convinced that the Prince will remember who she is. When the Prince notes that Anastasia was not the one he danced with, Tremaine uses the wand to make him forget about Cinderella and marry Anastasia that night. The family then moves into the palace, leaving Cinderella at home. The mice, Jaq and Gus, witness the event and tell Cinderella about her plot. Cinderella sneaks into the palace, posing as a housekeeper. While she distracts her family, Gus and Jaq steal the wand. When Tremaine points out the maid Cinderella is a thief, she orders the guards to capture her. The mice toss the wand to her just as the guards push their way through but before Cinderella could break the spell on the prince the guards break in and take the wand from her and give it to Tremaine.
Before they can evacuate her from the castle she touches the prince's hand and he is confused,as he has previously touched Anastasia's hand and has realized that Cinderella's hand is more familiar to him than that of his bride - to - be. Tremaine orders to have Cinderella put on the next ship out of the kingdom. Later, when Jaq shows the other slipper, which is now put together, the Prince remembers everything now and goes after to find her. Cinderella was just about to be sent on board the ship when the Prince shows up and the two fall madly in love again. However, when Tremaine finds out about this news, she decides to take action. Cinderella is preparing for her wedding when Tremaine comes out of the dark holding Lucifer in her hands. She then shows to Cinderella Anastasia, who looks exactly like her(Cinderella) and makes Cinderella vanish and Jaq and Gus disappear along with her. The three then reappear in a pumpkin which turns into a carriage been driven by Lucifer in human form. Cinderella's dress appeared torn with no shoes. She then breaks out of the pumpkin carriage and knocks Lucifer down and into a lake where he turns back into a cat. After that she rushes into the castle right before Anastasia is about to say "I do" but instead she says "I don't" because she realises that it is not true love and she explains to her mother that she wanted somebody to love her for her. Angry, Lady Tremaine uses the wand to turn both Cinderella and Anastasia into toads by suggestion of Drizella. But Prince Charming holds out his sword and blocks it and it hits the sword and bounces back and made Lady Tremaine and Drizella disappear and reappear in the backyard of their house as toads. Anastasia then takes the wand and turns herself back to normal and then gives it to Cinderella who then revives the Fairy Godmother. The Fairy Godmother takes her wand back and creates a ravishing wedding for Cinderella and Prince Charming as well as restoring Tremaine and her daughters back to their original forms, but Tremaine and Drizella are wearing Cinderella's work clothes complete with apron. Cinderella and the Prince get married and live happily ever after... again.
Goofs
-
On the back of the DVD case, a picture showed Tremaine and Drizella with the wand in the backyard, with the statue of the Fairy Godmother there. Cinderella is in this picture too looking shocked, but at this time of the movie, she was in the forest celebrating her one year anniversary with the prince.
-
-
First we see Cinderella afront of a huge picture then when she passes by the third one her size has changed - Cinderella appears to be three times bigger than the previous scene.
-
-
When Drizella and Anastasia fight during "A Perfectly Perfect Year" the aprons they're wearing disappear after they get the laundry off themselves.
-
-
After Anastasia gets thrown out of the house. She stands up to see Cinderella and the prince riding by on horses and she walks forward. During this her apron disappears and reappears between several shots.
-
-
After Anastasia gets the wand Drizella is seen cutting tree pieces with an axe which gets stuck. After pulling out the handle the axe's head is pointing opposite of the house. But in the wand fight the axe's head is turned 90 degrees pointing either the chair's back or the FGM and Anastasia.
-
-
While Lady Tremaine was reversing time at Cinderella's wedding the prince was wearing his white groom outfit unlike the wedding from the first movie where he's wearing his yellow and red prince outfit.
-
-
Since the events take place one year after the first movie at the reversing of time there should have been plenty of moments where Cinderella and the prince were together. Otherwise it seems like it's been only one day since they got married.
-
-
When Tremaine gets the wand it's the beginning of the night and when they have turned back time by one year it's morning. Which means at the end of the movie they haven't been sleeping all night (in real time) and therefore were up nearly 24 hours.
-
-
In the first movie Jaq and Gus are downstairs trying to get the key from Tremaine's pocket after about a minute after the Grand Duke comes in. In this movie they're already upstairs with the key, but if Lucifer was also there Cinderella would not have gotten the time to arrive down on time before the duke leaves. - This goof was made for the good of the movie!
-
-
In the first movie the glass slipper fit over Anastasia's toes fine, just not the heel. In this movie, it barely fits over her big toe!
-
-
When Tremaine breaks Cinderella's glass slipper the front and the heel do not get broken or cracked. But when Jaq presents the put-back-together slipper to the prince we can see cracks on them. And when the prince puts the slipper down to go find "Cinderelly" the heel does not appear broken at all.
-
-
As we see the slipper falling it is about to be broken with the heel in the front. But in the crash the heel and the front of the slipper have switched places.
-
-
While Cinderella is singing she connects the two halves of the slipper's heart together. But the heart appears to be too close over the slipper's edge.
-
- Cinderella leaves her house to go to talk to the prince. After she gets there, it cuts to a scene of the prince and his father talking, then the bugle sounds signaling Anastasia, Drizella, and Tremaine's arrivals. They left before Cinderella, and in a carriage, but she still got there before them, and she left later and had to walk!
-
After Anastasia gets done chasing the ring down after it bounces around the room, she puts it on her left hand. She gets up though immediately and tells the prince that she will marry him. Tremaine confronts the prince, and in the same scene, Anastasia is seen walking away admiring the ring, which is now on her right hand.
-
-
When Jaq and Gus took the wand from the dresser the wand was pointing forward, but when they run out through the door the wand is now pointing backwards and stays that way.
-
-
While the shrunken Lucifer was attacking Gus red pieces appear to be tearing off his shirt but the red pieces belong to Jaq's shirt. And when the attack ends their shirts appear to be in perfect condition like nothing has happened.
-
-
When Cinderella gets on the boat Tremaine forced her on, the sky is dark and cloudy, however when the Prince is seen with his horse riding into a wooden house/storage to reach the boat, when the view shifts to the horse looking out the balcony door, the sun is shining inside the room, and in the next shot as the prince is seeing flying out the balcony door, the sky is dark and cloudy again, with no sun being seen only until he reaches Cinderella.
-
-
After the prince rescues Cinderella, the sky clears to show sun and the time looks to be the afternoon, but when it shows them riding back as Drizella is looking out the window, it's dusk. The ride back shouldn't have been that long, considering Cinderella got on the boat not long after the prince left the castle, and he was suddenly at the scene right after the boat left port.
-
-
When Cinderella is back at the castle, explaining to the king and duke what lady Tremaine did, Cinderella sits there with her hair down, like she did for most of the film, but when the king jumps up, her hair is in a bow, when she pulls him down her hair is still in a bow, but when the prince says "The stars shined brighter that night" her hair is back to normal again!
-
- In the scene, where Tremaine and Drizella are turned back into human and wearing Cinderella's dress we can see a cut on both aprons, but when Drizella gets "frightened" by the broom the cut on her apron suddenly disappears.
- In the first movie Cinderella's sleeves appear to be light green. But in this movie they're light blue.
